Masaryk University (MU) in Brno is the second largest university in the Czech Republic and the largest in Moravia, with 9 faculties of more than 200 departments, institutes and clinics. Because of the big number of applicants every year, MU is the most selective university in the Czech Republic. Study at Masaryk University and the life in Brno has an unrepeatable atmosphere and brings a lot of opportunities. MU is a public university-type institution of higher education and a very respected research university that offers different accredited degree programmes at the Bachelor’s, Master’s and doctoral levels in on-site, combined and distance modes of study, also advanced state examinations for graduates of Master’s degree programmes and lifelong education programmes.

How to apply

MU offers various Master’s and doctoral degree programmes taught in languages other than Czech. The objective is to make the study accessible for talented students and young scientists from abroad, especially from adjacent countries, who can study either in Czech or in a foreign language. Students have the right to attend a free intensive course of the Czech language, which they may need later in connection with practicums.

1. Firstly browse an offering of studies at Masaryk University in electronic application and then choose your study course.
2. If it is your first electronic application, open entirely a new electronic application. If you have already applied before, the system remembers you and you might open an application in IS.
