The European Science Foundation (ESF) TransEurope Programme organizes a two-day Young Researcher Workshop “Flexibilzation and Changing Life Course Patterns in a Globalizing Europe”, which will take place at the University of Turin, Italy. The aim of the workshop is to bring together young European researchers to share and discuss research results together with experienced researchers.

The ESF TransEurope Research Network is an interdisciplinary research network comprising scientific experts from 7 European countries in Political Science, Demography, Economics, and Sociology. Its main scientific focus is to conceptualise, operationalise, test, and compare the impact of transnational shifts on life course inequality across Europe. At the same time, the Programme seeks to bring together national experts and junior researchers within Europe and create the opportunity for them to collaborate on innovative and path-breaking research.

Eligibility
The workshop welcomes all contributions that empirically deal with different aspects in the development of life course patterns in a globalizing Europe by researchers at both Ph.D. as well as post-doc level.

Cost
For selected participants, there will be funding to cover travel cost and accommodation expenses.

Application procedure
Interested applicants should fill out the electronic submission form and enclose:
– short abstract of the proposed paper (max 500 words)
– CV

The application need to be submit through the online submission form by 15th March 2010.
