Photo contest: 21st Century Feminism

The European Women’s Lobby (EWL) announces the launch of a photo competition looking to expose the visions of young women of the world they live in. The competition seeks images that make a creative and powerful statement on the theme of ‘21st Century Feminism’.

Theme
The subject for the EWL Photography Competition and Exhibition 2010 is ‘My world: Visions of 21st  Century Feminism’. The theme is open to individual interpretation but clear description of the photograph must be included with each entry.

Aims of the competition
*encourage many young women think about the concept of feminism and what it means today;
* explore and better relate to the visions of feminism so that this can feed into EWL future work;
* create an exhibition and a brochure which highlights how feminism is still relevant to this new generation of women.

Eligibility
To submit an entry into this Competition the applicant must be:
* Female (defined as all those who identify themselves as such);
* Aged between 15 and 40;
* Resident in an EU Member State or Candidate country (Croatia, FYROM, Turkey).

Submission procedure
To enter the competition the applicants need to submit:
* the name of the applicant and the country of residence,
* chosen image (in attachment) and brief description of the image (max 1000 characters) in any of the official EU languages
