The Canisius College in New York is searching for an Assistant Professor of Political Science.

Canisius College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor to teach introductory undergraduate courses in Comparative Politics and International Relations starting in August 2010.

Ideal candidate will be able to offer upper-level courses on the Middle East or Latin America. Research expertise and upper-level courses offerings on one or more of the following specialties are desired: security, extremism, democracy, development, international law and human rights. Opportunity to help design and teach in a new Master’s program in world politics. Ph.D. in Political Science strongly preferred. Commitment to the “scholar-teacher model” and collegial service is required. Salary competitive. Female and minority candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.
