Fee: 100 Euro for students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia, Montenegro, Romania and Serbia, 200 Euro for others

WHO CAN APPLY

* graduate and postgraduate students of law related disciplines, including limited number of undergraduate students, as well as recent graduates at the start of their professional career
* with a clear focus on law or political science,
* under the age of 35 from Europe and the US.

To apply you will have to fill out the application form.

Your application will be considered only:

i) If it reaches the Association “PRAVNIK” through official submission e-mail before the application deadline (31 May 2010 at 23:59 CET);
ii) If every question was answered and was accompanied with all necessary documents;
iii) If you explicitly agree with the RULES AND CONDITIONS of the ISSS 2010, and declare to have read them via  the application form;
iv) if you receive a confirmation letter from the organizers (within 48 hours after your submission)  through the official e-mail.

Applicants who have been selected will be notified by 15 June 2010.

ELIGIBILITY AND ENTRANCE CRITERIA

There are three main criteria which will be taken into consideration in the evaluation process.

Academic requirement
The program encourages applications from graduate students of law related disciplines, with a clear focus on law, (by the age of 35), including limited number of undergraduate students from South East Europe, Europe and the US. Basic knowledge about transitional justice and commitment to take part in academic discussions are required.

Language requirement
The language of instruction is English; thus all applicants have to demonstrate a strong command of spoken and written English to be able to participate actively in discussions at lectures and workshops.

CSO experience
The association “Pravnik” recognizes the involvement in CSO (Civil Society Organizations) as an important sign that proves commitment toward democratic development of any society. Thus experience in CSO sector brings an added value to every application.

PARTICIPATION FEE

The participation fee for the ISSS 2010 is 200 €
This participation fee is only symbolical and the organizers cover most of the costs: for accommodation, meals, materials etc.

Please bear in mind that your travel costs are not covered by this fee and each participant should take care of his/ her own travel arrangements. If you need a visa to enter Bosnia and Herzegovina please let us know, so we could send you an invitation letter for ISSS.

DISCOUNTED PARTICIPATION FEE

Students from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Kosovo, Macedonia,Montenegro, Romania and Serbia are eligible to apply for a participation fee reduction of 50 %.

The Selection Committee will decide about this request along with the application. No discrimination will be made forward applicants that apply for participation fee reduction and the number of fee reductions will depend on the number of participation fee reduction requests and the number available reductions.

The participation fee must be received by 30 June 2009 23:59 to ensure participation, otherwise the place on the ISSS will be offered to the first person on the waiting list, and so on.
