Award: laptop computer,a photographic camera or a camcorder depending on the entry category.
Sustainable Thinking Platform is a true online community aimed at young people from all around the world to discuss and learn about sustainability issues.
All entries must address the following question: “With an ever-increasing population, how can we maximize resource efficiency to meet our growing needs?”
Participants are asked to rate other members’ work. To do that, simply click on an essay, picture or video and choose the number of stars you want to award. You will only be able to vote once for the same work but you can rate as many submissions as you want.
Categories
Photo competition
Each candidate may summit up to 3 different photos.
- Contributions must be submitted as .jpeg, .png and .bmp, If a candidate has produced photos in a different file format, they must be converted into one of the formats above.
- Files must be at least 640×480 but no larger than 5 MB.
- Photos presented in any other way will be disqualified.
Video competition
Each candidate may summit only 1 video.
- If the video contains dialogue or voiceovers, this audio must be recorded or subtitled in English.
- If the video contains text, this must be written or subtitled in English.
- Participants will provide a link to their videos hosted on Youtube.
- Videos must be no longer than 3 minutes.
- Videos presented in any other way will be disqualified.
Essay competition
Each candidate may summit only 1 essay.
- All essays must be written in English.
- Essays must be submitted as an A4 word document with all margins set at 3cm and using 11 point Arial font.
- Essays must be no longer than 1,000 words.
- Handwritten essays or essays presented in any other way will be disqualified.
Submissions
Submissions will only be accepted if received via the Sustainable Thinking Platform uploading system. By submitting an entry, each participant acknowledges their understanding of and compliance with these rules.
Award
The winners will be selected by a professional panel of journalists and industry representatives.
Depending on the category they are runing, they will have the chance to win:
* Panasonic Lumix G1 Digital Camera.
* Panasonic HDC-HS20 High Definition camcorder
* Netbook HP Mini 210-1004
If someone you tell about the competition wins, you will have the chance to receive a 100 Euro gift certificate for Amazon.

this is a competition/contest section. If you click on our scholarship section, you will find there different scholarship opportunities, including those for undegraduate study.
Unfortunately, most of the scholarships are for a Master or PhD. degrees, and there is not much our team can do with it.
But, chin up, stay tuned and for sure there will be sth that would interest you.
