United World Colleges are the only existing international organization that brings students together from around the world, that are selected from their National Committees. UWCs are unique and deliver a challenging and transformative educational experience to a diverse cross section of students, inspiring them to create a more peaceful and sustainable future.
Selected students live and study for 2 years in one of the 3 UWCs (Italy, China or Bosnia and Herzegovina), all with distinctive characters, but sharing the same mission, ethos and values, and are educated under the worldwide recognized and prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma. UWCs offer students the opportunity to develop international understanding through a program which combines high quality academic study that encourages personal initiative and social responsibility.
Eligibility
*16 years of age
*Achieved grade average of 4.5 in high school
*Lived on the territory of Republic of Macedonia for at least 5 years
*Diligent, resilient, self-motivated, and academically focused
*Student of exceptional promice and potential worldwide
*Ethical, honest, with high integrity, committed to international and intercultural understanding
*Passion and responsibility to represent the Republic of Macedonia, your homeland, in an international setting

For this call there are full scholarships available for the following United World Colleges:
*UWC Adriatic – Italy
*UWC Hong Kong – Hong Hong (China)
*UWC Mostar – Bosna and Herzegovina.
The selection process can be divided into 3 (three) parts:
1. Application completion and submission by the potential student is the first step (please note that there are 2 (two) essays on selected topics, one of which must be written in Macedonian and the other in English).
2. Interview of the selected students from the application process, follows part one, conducted by the members of the Macedonian National Committee.
3. Finally, extensive discussion regarding the financial, educational, and social aspects of the scholarship and the missions and values of the UWCs, is lead with the parents or guardians of the chosen students to receive the scholarships, and if all parties are agreeable, the official contract is executed.
