InternationalStudent.com is launching the 2011 Travel Video Contest, this year being their sixth year in a row. In order to enter the competition, participants need to create a short video (not longer than 5 minutes in length) showing why they want to study or travel abroad. In case they are already studying outside of their home country, the video should be about any trip they would like to take.
The judging panel is consisted by two former winners of this contest and two international education gurus. The main criteria for judging are the originality and interest level in the trip, as well as the creativity and quality of the video.
The competition is opened to people at the age of 18 or older and already enrolled or planning to enroll in college or university outside of your home country.
The Grand Prize is $4.000. There will also be some runner-up prizes.
How to enter

3. Submit the video by uploading it to the site’s server, to YouTube, Google Video or another online video service (in which case the participant should email the link along with the entry form) or by mailing it as a mini DV or DVD
The submission to InternationalStudent.com Travel Video contest must have 2 components:
- A signed entry form
- A video application
Only the participants that are finalists will be notified. All finalists will need to provide a high-resolution version of their video by mini DV in NTSC format, or a DVD in .MOV or .AVI format. Participants should not send files compressed for web use. They should keep a backup of their entry.
The deadline is 5:00 PM, EST on Monday, 31 October 2011.
