International Development Alliance (IDA) is organizing the 4. Training Course Against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and Related Intolerance with the aim to promote tolerance between the different ethnic groups on the Balkans and to combat the racism and xenophobia.

The programme of the seminar is being developed in a way that allows an exchange of realities and problems faced by young people in relation to a racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance as well as examples of good practice. It also seeks to explore the reality and the relevance of the concept of xenophobia in the work for equality and against discrimination.

Objectives

  • To explore the concept of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance and its relevance in Europe today;
  • To share and analyze the realities and manifestations of xenophobia and discrimination faced by young people;
  • To examine the perceptions and the manifestations of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance in today’s societies;
  • To collect examples of good practice in overcoming prejudice and promoting inter-community relations and inter-religious co-operation with young people;
  • To identify criteria for good practices on intercultural and inter-religious youth work

Eligibility

This Course is open to Project managers, Young people, Youth leaders, Youth workers Youth People from EU Member States.

Costs

There is no participation fee for this course. The accomodation and meals are covered by the organizer, as well as 50% from the traveling costs.
