The Joint Office of the European Savings Banks Group and World Savings Banks Institute is located in Brussels and represents savings banks and their associations worldwide. ESBG is now looking for an assistant to support a group of professionals dealing with legal and economic issues. Their work comprises interest representation vis à vis authorities and across the industry, promoting the savings and retail banking model.
The secretary will deal with internal administration and support, organize meetings and staff trips, and work with other outside institutions and organisations to organise and follow up on meetings.
They are looking for a secretary perfect in English with good capabilities in French; knowledge of other languages (e.g. Spanish and/or German) is definitely an asset.
A person with excellent organisational skills and a “customer” service attitude, able to work responsibly within a group, with some experience in a multicultural context, has the preference. Knowledge or experience with the world of financial institutions is an asset. Proficiency in computer skills including at least Word, PowerPoint and Excel is of course a pre-requisite.
