Exit Festival is Looking for 1500 Volunteers

Deadline: 31 May 2012
Open to: All interested from all around the world

Description

The Exit Festival continues the tradition with widely opening our doors to 1500 volunteers from all around the world!

They will get the unique chance to gain incredible experience in the fields of marketing, protocol, in the press centre, programme production, building; at bars, entrances, accreditations, security, Exit Village and many other parts of the festival.

Exit’s volunteers will have a free entrance and the ability to stay at the festival after the working hours, as well as a free place at Exit Village, food during their shift and free tokens for drinks. After the festival is over, the volunteers get a volunteering recognization certificate, as an additional reference to their biography.

Last year, Exit’s program was one of the biggest volunteering projects in Serbia in 2011. Around 5000 young people applied to the contest, among which 1250 were chosen, from 60 countries around the world. They were mostly from Serbia and the region; other volunteers came from: European countries, USA, Australia, Russia, Singapore, Ecuador, Swaziland, Chile, Israel and many more. All of them together brought back home an unforgettable experience, which they shared with friends, but also among themselves via the official Facebook page for Exit volunteers.

Through engaging in Exit’s social life, the volunteers will develop a sense of belonging and usefulness to the community; they will develop new skills, get introduced to teamwork, hang out with people from all around the world, improve their knowledge of foreign languages, and some new knowledge about organizing a big festival. A special part of volunteers’ activities will be ecological workshops, where they will be educated in the field of applied technologies for the renewable energy sources, and improve their eco-awareness in the field of environmental protection.

The volunteering will last from July 9 to July 15, 2012, at the Exit festival in Novi Sad, maximally six hours during one shift.
