Travel to Europe – Project for Students

Description

The project “Travel to Europe” is motivated by the inability of the younger generations to gain firsthand experience from Europe. As a regional project, besides in Macedonia it is implemented in other countries in the Western Balkans, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania and Kosovo. Citizens association MOST, the donors and the sponsors of the project allow each student for 1 month to explore Europe. Students will receive an Inter – Rail train ticket with duration of 1 month, health insurance and little pocket money. The selected students should raise the level of awareness among youth on importance of success during education, and in wide scope influencing on disturbed value charts during the years of transition of the country. This action will be intense promotion of education as a credible way to succeed in life. As well, students will have to promote their own country.
The selected students will first travel to Berlin on July 24th. In Berlin, the candidates will get to know their compatriots and peers form the other countries. They will stay in Berlin for 3 days and will take part of the Berlin festival. From Berlin each student continues the journey and visits places and countries by their choice.

Eligibility

Eligible candidates are those students who are in their final year of studies. Therefor, candidates will need to submit certificate on admission to the final year of studies as well as to present their achievement. Candidates need to have average score during studies 8,5 and up. Also, certificate on the admission to the final year of studies, issued by the Faculty is needed in the admission documents. The last criteria on which candidates will be judged and selected is knowledge of languages (English, German, French, Italian). Applicant will be given possibility to appraise own knowledge.
Priority will be given to those candidates who have never traveled abroad, as well as to those who do not obtain a biometrical passport.

Application

The application on Macedonian is consisted of two parts: section for participant’s document and section for frequently asked questions. Along with the application, candidates should prepared copies from their passports as well as to document that their final exam is passed and the already mentioned documents for average score and certificate on the admission to the final year of the studies. Award

For the journey the students will receive:

  • free Inter Rail ticket (1 month continuous)
  • airplane ticket and accommodation in Berlin
  • travel insurance
  • pocket money
  • brochures

Upon their return, the students will be required to prepare a report on their travel, as well as a photo presentation of the places they have visited.The dead line for submission of applications is 9 July, 2012.
