Description
The Bayer Young Environmental Envoy (BYEE) Programme is a global project which is a partnership between Bayer and the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) in the area of youth and environment. It creates a unique opportunity for aspiring environmentalists (aged 18 – 24) to share ideas and exchange experience with youth from 18 countries during a weeklong study trip to Germany that will take place from 4 to 9 November 2012. Eligibility
The theme encourages young aspiring environmentalist (aged 18 – 24) to share ideas and exchange experiences with youth from 19 countries during a weeklong study trip to Germany that will take place from 04 to 09 November 2012, plus R5 000 awarded towards the winners’ environmental projects. The candidates might be:
- Undergraduate level
- Graduate level
- Non-students
- High School Students
Application
How to apply:
- In no more than 1,000 words, write a comprehensive summary of an achievable environmental project that is being carried out in your community.
- Include key objectives of the project and the crucial resource requirements that will aid eventual success.
- Consider some of the practical solutions that various sectors of society are already doing.
- Incorporate how your project proposal adds value to existing environmental efforts in your community.
All completed entries must be accompanied by a valid address and day time mobile contacts. Project proposals must be typewritten in English and double-spaced. Hand written entries will not be accepted. Project proposals which are adaptations/upgrades of already existing projects are acceptable, but the entry will be judged solely on the basis of new elements introduced and their added value. While the project proposal should be the applicant’s own concept, the project itself may be carried out by any number of people, with the applicant taking a significant role in its implementation.
