Roma Open Call for Volunteers in Berlin, Germany

Description

„Amaro Drom” is an intercultural self-organization of young Roma and non-Roma . Our main focus is the socio-cultural youth work, the strengthening of self-initiative, mobilization, networking and self-esteem of young Roma and their political and social participation. As young Europeans we actively want to contribute to society for more acceptance and respect, mutual understanding and inclusion.
This is an open call for Roma  volunteers from youth group with national and international youth projects for organization of events like the Herdelezi street festival, creating flyers and other materials.

Conditions

Volunteers will be provided with 2 Youth in Action seminars in Germany during their service, and 2 international Phiren Amenca seminars.
The volunteers will operate in the following working spheres:

  •  children’s program
  •  contact point for Roma from Romania and Bulgaria
  •  youth group with national and international youth projects
  •  organization of events like the Herdelezi street festival
  •  creating flyers and other materials for our homepage

We welcome future volunteers expressing and realizing own ideas!
Room, board, health insurance and monthly pocket money provided.

Application

Application is open to people between 18 and 30 years.
