International Master Scholarships Program, France

Deadline: December 15th, 2012
Open to:  students currently studying outside France or to foreign (non-french) students studying outside the FMJH’s institutions
Scholarship: Stipend of 10.000 euros per year

Description

The Jacques Hadamard Mathematics Foundation (FMJH) is offering one-year or two-year scholarships for talented students applying for a master position in Mathematics in one of its member institutions (the Departments in Applied or Pure Mathematics of the École polytechnique, École Normale Supérieure de Cachan, and Paris Sud University in Orsay).  Priority will be given to M2 applications but two year applications starting from the M1 will be considered.

The FMJH scholarships are devoted to support a specific Master in which the laureates will be automatically registered provided they give the necessary relevant administrative information in due time. Laureates who change their mind and apply to another Master, even within the member institutions of the FMJH, will automatically lose the scholarship, except in case of explicit agreement of the FMJH. They cannot combine their scholarship with other remuneration.

Eligibility

The scholarships are open to all students currently studying outside France or to foreign (non-french) students studying outside the FMJH’s institutions (see the application webforms for the details). The selection process will be based on the academic quality of the transcript and recommendation letters.

Application procedure

Complete the relevant online form below and send it before December 15th, 2012 at midnight (Paris time, +1 GMT). A second call will be open at the begining of April, 2013. If your application at the first call has been rejected, it will not be reexamined during the second call. Only electronic submission using the online form will be considered.

  • For a two year scholarship at the first year level (M1) of the Master program, please complete the M1 form.
  • For a one year scholarship at the second year (M2) of the Master program, please complete the M2 form.

Selection process

The selection will be carried out by the FMJH Steering Committee and the heads of the Master programs involved in the FMJH.
