FotoVisura Inc. is delighted to announce the 2012 FotoVisura Grant—which aims to support personal photography projects and encourage the production and development of photography outside the commercial realm. The Grant is divided into two categories:
- The FotoVisura Grant for Outstanding Personal Project
- The Spotlight Grant for Outstanding Student Project
Eligibility
The FotoVisura Grant is eligible for projects not initiated by an assignment or commission. To be eligible for the Student Grant you must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program, or a recent graduate, having graduated after January 1st 2011. Additionally, the following requirements apply for both the Grant and the Student Grant:
- Submit a photography series, up to 35 images.
- Image size: minimum 1000px on the longest dimension (14 inches @ 72 dpi)
- A written reflection, in first person, of at least 150 words
- All images and text to be uploaded through the FotoVisura.com website
- To enter you must read and agree to the contest Terms & Conditions
- Only one Submission per photographer will be judged.
- You may enter either published or unpublished bodies of work

- $2,000.00
- Invitation to publish in Visura Magazine
- Invitation to group exhibition at United Photo Industries Additional exhibitions TBA.
- Invitation to be a guest speaker at NYPH’13
2nd Place:
- Invitation to exhibit with FotoVisura. Additional exhibitions TBA.
3nd Place:
- Invitation to exhibit with FotoVisura
Spotlight Outstanding Student Photography Project
1st Place:
- $1,000.00
- Invitation to publish in Visura Spotlight
- Invitation to group exhibition at United Photo Industries Additional exhibitions TBA.
- Invitation to publish your work in Emaho Magazine
2nd Place:
- Invitation to exhibit with FotoVisura. Additional exhibitions TBA.
3nd Place:
- Invitation to exhibit with FotoVisura.
How to enter?
STEP 1: SIGN IN/SIGN UP
Sign in or sign up for a Standard or Plus one year account at FotoVisura.com
STEP 2: UPLOAD YOUR WORK TO FOTOVISURA.COM
Once logged in, click the button to “Upload / Creating a New Album”
then Add your text & upload your media, then “Publish” your album
(Be sure to Syndicate your Album to “Your Community & The Public Archive” in Step 4 of creating an Album)
STEP 3: SUBMIT TO THE GRANT
Select FotoVisura Grant Gallery or Spotlight Student Grant Gallery (below).
Select your album from the drop down menu on the right side menu.

Entry Fee
Entry to the competition is free for current members of FotoVisura.com with a Standard or Plus account. Your Account must be active through June 15, 2013.
The fee for annual membership is:
- $30 for a Standard Account
- $60 for a Plus Account.
