The European Policy Centre (EPC) is an independent, not-for-profit think tank, committed to making European integration work. The EPC works at the “cutting edge” of European and global policy-making providing its members and the wider public with rapid, high-quality information and analysis on the EU and global policy agenda. It aims to promote a balanced dialogue between the different constituencies of its membership, spanning all aspects of economic and social life.

In line with its multi-constituency approach, members of the EPC comprise companies, professional and business federations, trade unions, diplomatic missions, regional and local bodies, as well as NGOs representing a broad range of civil society interests, foundations, international and religious organisations.

Job vacancy

The EPC is looking for a Chief Executive to replace the current incumbent who is leaving in 2013. The successful candidate will be a committed European with a well-respected and documented academic background, proven experience in fundraising, general management, people management and with the ability to manage the EPC’s many relations to foundations, policy-makers, diplomatic representations, its multi-stakeholder membership, as well as the media.

Experiences/Qualifications

  • Substantial relevant experience in management
  • Proven academic experience, preferably in economics or political science
  • Track record in leading debates on European and global policy issues,  public speaking and participation in international debates
  • Fluency in English;  other European languages would be an asset

  • Strategic thinker
  • Strong commitment to the European project
  • Entrepreneurial  skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong networker
