Internship at Analytica Think Tank, Macedonia

Analytica Think Tank is offering an internship for a period of 3 months, starting 13 May, 2013  in Skopje, Macedonia. Analytica is a non‐profit independent institution dedicated to helping individuals and institutions with the aim to foster lasting improvement in the democracy and governance in Macedonia, the region of South Eastern Europe and wider in the European Union.

The selected intern will be given the opportunity to work in Analytica’s vibrant Security Policy Program. Some of the duties of the intern include: data collection, writing policy papers, support project implementation, press clipping, attending events locally and abroad, assisting in organizing conferences and events etc.

Eligibility

This call is for Macedonian citizens only.

University students, both recent undergraduates and graduates from Macedonia are eligible to apply.  Good research, analytical and writing skills together with an excellent knowledge of English are prerequisite. Candidates should have strong interest in security affairs or more specifically:

• Security Sector Reform
• Human Rights
• Regional Security Cooperation
• International Organizations (NATO, EU etc.)
• Illegal Migration

Candidates for this internship opportunity are expected to be familiar with security related topics and social research methods. Candidates with background in security studies, legal studies, political science, international relations and journalism will be given priority.

Conditions

It is expected that the intern respects Analytica’s working hours 09.00 – 17.00hrs Monday – Friday. Some limited flexibility over the working hours is also available.

The organizers are able to provide limited funds for the intern that would cover food and local transportation costs.
