Description
This training course will take place from 5 to 13 October in Struga, Macedonia and will include 36 activists from youth organisations from 6 countries (Croatia, Albania, Turkey, Romania, Macedonia and Italy).
The aim of this project is to prepare the young activists of the partner organisations to properly develop, implement, evaluate and follow-up an European Voluntary Service (EVS) project. The objective is to provide the partner organisations with well skilled human resources that will enrich their work and expand the possibilities that they offer to the local community. They hope that after this project numerous new EVS posts will emerge and will be put on the European “EVS marketplace” where young people from these organisations as well as from other ones will be able to experience life and work in a foreign country.
At the end of this training course the partner organisations will get strongly motivated and highly skilled young activists that will also have good contacts with partners from different countries. This will help the organisations to increase their scope of activities and it will most directly reflect on the possibilities that they will offer to the local youngsters – possibilities in European context. The link to the objective related to promotion of young people’s active citizenship and their European citizenship in particular is reflected in this aspect.
Eligibility
This call is open for participants from Macedonia. The participants should be older than 18 and be able to communicate in English. Participants should be youth workers (professional or voluntary) active in organizations towards this goal, or willing to develop new actions in this context. Also unemployed youngsters or youngsters facing some kind of exclusion are welcome to participate inthe training.
Costs
This project is financially supported by the European Youth in Action Program of the European Commission thus meals and accommodation are fully covered for the participants between the project dates. Travel expenses need to be covered by the participants themselves.
