Do you struggle to include volunteers in your organisation? Do you have a lack of new volunteers in your organisation? Would you like to promote volunteering in your country? Are you interested in how organisations in Central and Eastern Europe work with volunteers?
For more than five years the Network of the Initiative for Central and Eastern Europe (InMOE) has been working on strengthening civic engagement in Central and Eastern Europe. InMOE is contributing to an essential positive change towards a common and self-determined togetherness in Europe. They are strengthening civic activism by supporting international exchanges of experience among committed people and organisations.
The Forum Engaging Volunteers in CEE – An Exchange of Ideas is the main event of the InMOE network this year. It will gather 30 organisations from six countries, invite new and old partners as well as the grant givers, in order to discuss and learn from each other about topics of common interest.
The seminar will be held in Frankfurt (Oder) between 14 – 18 November 2013 (including arrival and departure day). This year’s main themes are volunteer engagement and volunteers management.
Costs
InMOE covers all costs of accommodation and food for participants. They refund 70 percent of travel costs up to €280. There is a participation fee, with a minimum of €30 for participants from member organizations and €50 for non-member organizations to cover the running costs.
Eligibility
Participants who:
- are from a member organisation of the InMOE network, and want to meet new organisations from CEE and get some fresh ideas about volunteer work.
- are engaged in an organisation in either Romania, Poland, Belarus, Ukraine, Czech Republic, or Germany and want to get in contact with the InMOE network and learn more about volunteer engagement in CEE.
- are working in a field connected to civil society in CEE.
- would like to start something new with volunteers and need contacts and guidance.
