Description

The Federation of Young European Greens and Cooperation and Development Network Eastern Europe are announcing an open call for participants for the study session “Open Source – Open Mind” in March in Strasbourg (France). At this study session participants will learn:

  • how to use the internet for enhancing democracy and active citizenship in society
  • how youth organizations can use free and open source software in their organizations, local communities, societies and international work
  • how to use technology for fostering social inclusion
  • how people learn about technology and how this can be applied in the organizations

Eligibility

The call is open for people between the ages of 18 and 30 residing in a Council of Europe member state, Belarus, Kazakhstan, or Kosovo.

The 47 Member States of the Council of Europe are: the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Ireland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Greece, Turkey, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Cyprus, Switzerland, Malta, Portugal, Spain, Liechtenstein, San Marino, Finland, Hungary, Poland, Bulgaria, Estonia, Lithuania, Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Andorra, Latvia, Albania, Moldova, Ukraine,Macedonia, Russia, Croatia, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Monaco and Montenegro.

Costs

Travel, visa and accommodation costs will be covered by the organisers. There is a 50 EUR participation fee (deducted from the travel reimbursement of selected participants)

Application

Deadline for applications is Wednesday, 15th January 2014 at midnight Central European Time.

The application form must be filled in here. You must register at YeapsY in order to apply. Please fill in information regarding your nationality, country of residence and age in your profile before submitting your application, in order for the organizers to be able to ensure diversity at the study session. Fill in your gender if you wish, for the same reason.
