Description

Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Studies, Migration Policy Centre is looking for a Research Assistant who will contribute to designing, carrying out and analysing an international survey on the links between migrants’ integration, their mobility between the origin and destination countries and the various economic transfers they generate. The selected candidate will be based in Florence, Italy.

The Migration Policy Centre based at the European University Institute, Florence, conducts advanced research on global migration to serve migration governance needs at the European level, from developing, implementing and monitoring migration-related policies to assessing their impact on the wider economy and society.

Eligibility

  • PhD or MA, plus 5 years professional experience in statistics or quantitative social science;
  • Proven skills and experience in conducting surveys;
  • Proficient knowledge of English;
  • Knowledge of French or Italian would be an asset.

Salary

Monthly net salary is to be agreed according to the professional experience (range between 2,000-2,500 euro net per month). Initial contract is up to 31 December 2014, starting as soon as possible. The contract may be renewed until 30 November 2015.
