Description
A limited number of scholarships are available for candidates from Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan, applying for English taught Master’s programmes at the University of Tartu. The eligible programmes to apply at, are the following:
- Applied Measurement Science;
- Baltic Sea Region Studies;
- European Union – Russia Studies;
- Financial Mathematics;
- Philosophy;
- Quantitative Economics;
- Semiotics;
- Wellness and Spa Service Design and Management (studies in Pärnu);
- Software Engineering;
- Sound Engineering Arts (studies in Viljandi and Tallinn).
Eligibility
It is the University of Tartu that will apply for scholarships from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and only well motivated candidates with good academic performance and properly prepared admission package will be considered. The students who have not graduated by the admission deadline are still eligible, provided that the rest of the admission documents are properly prepared. Nationals of Ukraine, Georgia, Armenia, Moldova, Belarus, Azerbaijan and Afghanistan are eligible to apply.
Scholarship
The scholarship will cover the tuition fee of two years (standard study period of Master’s studies) and provide additional stipend of 400 EUR per month.
Application
In order to be considered for this scholarship, the candidates must meet all admission requirements and submit the full package of application documents (please find more information on the website(s) of your chosen study programme. Additionally, the candidate is required to submit:
- CV (example of a relevant CV form; Euro pass format is acceptable as well);
- Recommendation letter from his or her current educational institution or employer.
Please submit all the documents by 16 April 2014. Documents arriving later cannot be considered.
