Description

The Schwarzkopf Foundation, in cooperation with the German Railways (Deutsche Bahn), offers people aged 17 to 25 the chance to be given an InterRail Global Pass ticket, in order to visit neighboring European Countries.

It offers young people the chance to get to know their European neighbors as well as to become aware of current cultural or political developments there. It is important that these developments are seen in the context of the guest countries’ relations with the EU.

The applicants freely choose the countries they wish to travel to. The trip needs to have a specifically defined research topic regarding a current cultural or political development in the context of European integration which needs to be explained and elaborated in the application. Not later than three months after the journey the stipendiary is requested to submit a detailed report of at least 10 pages.

The trip has to be planned and carried out exclusively by the recipient and needs to last a minimum of three and a maximum of six weeks.
