Description

The World Organization of the Scout Movement is an independent, worldwide, non-profit and non-partisan organisation which serves the Scout Movement. WOSM is the largest youth organization in the world and its purpose is to promote unity and the understanding scouting’s purpose and principles.

The World Scout Bureau has offices in eight countries (Belgium, Egypt, Kenya, Malaysia, Panama, the Philippines, Switzerland and Ukraine) and is an equal opportunities employer. Currently, they have two open positions for their office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

DIRECTOR ADULTS IN SCOUTING

  • Responsibilities: The person filling this position is responsible for the implementation of the World Adults in Scouting Policy at the Global, Regional and National levels. He/She will provide guidance and support to National Scout Organzations in the area of management of volunteers in their Organizations, including the development and delivery of training systems.
  • Eligibility: In order to be eligible you must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing adult volunteers, resources and related processes, as well as appropriate qualification for the position.

DIRECTOR WORLD EVENTS 

  • Responsibilities: The main mission of the Director, World Events,  is to lead the World Scout Bureau’s actions in supporting the Host Committees of World Scout Events, as well as to support the World Scout Committee in exercising its Constitutional function to supervise the organisation of World Scout Events.
  • Eligibility: In order to be eligible you must hold a university degree in a field related to the project. Experience of working with multi-cultural environments in the management of Youth Events is also required.
