International Workshop “Moving Borders”

Description

Citizens of Europe in collaboration with the Polish Schuman Foundation and the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe is organising the International Workshop “Moving borders”. The project will focus on the concept of discrimination, by way of a train journey from Berlin, via Warsaw, to Lviv, with seminars in each city. It will take place from the 1st to the 9th of November 2014, gathering 15 participants from Germany, Poland and Ukraine. The main aim of the training is to connect people beyond borders, overcome stereotypes and change perspectives.

Eligibility

In order to participate you must:

  • Be between 18-23 years old;
  • Be a resident of Germany, Poland or Ukraine;
  • Have a good knowledge of English;
  • Be interested in trans-disciplinary and inter-cultural issues involving Germany, Poland and Ukraine.

Costs

The organizers will cover accommodation, food, programme and travel costs. There is a small participation fee that you need to check with your local organisation. For Ukrainian participants, the organizers will help with visa applications.

Application

In order to apply you must send one-page CV and a creative presentation on moving borders in your daily life to convince the organizers about your motivation. It could be a power point, an article, a short video message or a film.
