“Learning Pathways to Social Cohesion” Seminar

Description

The 1st EUSDR Youth Platform “Learning Pathways to social cohesion will take place from 15-17 December 2014 in Vienna, bringing together 70 educators from Danube regions countries. The conference, organized by the National Agency of Austria, aims to reflect on the role of education and learning for social cohesion and to explore the value of cross-sectoral cooperation in the Danube region.

The objectives of the Youth Platform are:

  • Creating a space for dialogue and reflection to share experiences and perspectives on learning pathways of young people and their relevance for social cohesion;
  • Exchanging about the general conditions and specific challenges faced when working with young people in an educator role;
  • Inspiring for collaboration and common action ideally across educational sectors and national boundaries;
  • Exploring possible funding opportunities within ERASMUS+ and other funding schemes relevant for the Danube region.

Eligibility

The expected participants are youth workers, trainers, youth leaders and educators from the non-formal education fields form Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Germany, Hungary, Moldova, Montenegro, Romania, Serbia, Slovak Republic, Slovenia and Ukraine.

Costs

This project is financed by the Youth in Action Programme. Being selected for this seminar, all costs (accommodation, travel, visa, etc.) relevant to participation in the seminar will be covered by the NAs or SALTO involved in this project. Please contact your NA to learn more about financial details.

Application

The deadline to apply is 22 October 2014. Participants will be selected by 6 November 2014.
