The G2 Gallery has been committed to promoting the appreciation and conservation of our natural environment through photography and other art forms. G2 presents an illuminating range of exhibits that showcase nature and wildlife photography by artists who inform, inspire and generate greater awareness of the environmental issues we face. G2 Gallery supports art and the environment by showcasing the world’s most celebrated nature and wildlife photographers and donating 100% of the proceeds to environmental charities.

This year the film festival will span two weekends and include fascinating panel discussions and parties each night with live music, free beer and food and special guests to celebrate the eco-friendly films.

The G2 Gallery will host its third annual G2 Green Earth Film Festival over two weekends in October, screening eco-conscious films by artists of all experience levels, from award-winning professionals to aspirational high school students.The film festival will be held in Venice, California.

Eligibility

The contest is open for all filmmakers worldwide, and further on:

  • submission must illustrate an environmental theme and be informative, educational or inspirational;
  • submissions should be no longer 75 minutes;
  • all submissions must include completed application;
  • must submit trailer;
  • accepted formats for submission include DVD or valid URL (must include password if applicable and option to download);
  • films must be in English or have English subtitles.

Prizes

All films submitted will have an opportunity to screen at the G2 Gallery, whether through the official festival programming or on a day sometime after. G2 wants to promote the work of emerging filmmakers, whose films might not make it into the weekend line up but are still worthy of an audience.

For the first time, prizes will be awarded to the best films in the short and feature categories, and the prizes will in total amount of more than $1,000There is no registration fee.

How to apply?

Submit your film as early as possible. This allows more time for consideration, and ensures you will not miss the deadline 29 June 2015. If sending a DVD, please write ( in permanent marker) the film title and run time on the DVD. Completed applications and DVD’s you should send to :
