Networking 101 is an International Youth Academy aimed at bringing together passionate and engaged high school students in order for them to create a strong network of people and use their collective potential to solve local and global issues and initiate positive change. The academy will take place in Macedonia from 11-22 June, 2015.
What would you do?
The academy will equip the participants with useful skills to argue their informed opinion, initiate change, take risks, innovate solutions, and become problem solvers.
These skills will be though through three parallel seminars:
1. Exploring Political and Economic Ideas through Debate
2. Introduction to Business and Entrepreneurship
3. Introduction to Programming and Application Development
In addition, there will be a variety of student-led workshops, along with talks by guest speakers, primarily activists, entrepreneurs, and engineers. The students and guest speakers, with their personal experience and determination, will help motivate and encourage the participants to become the future initiators of change in their local communities.
Young people interested in skills-development, initiate change, take risks, innovate solutions, and become problem solvers are invited to apply for the Networking 101: International Youth Academy. All high school students and those enrolled in their first year at University, from anywhere in the world can apply.
The participation fee for all students is 30 euros, which will cover tuition, accommodation, and food. Transpiration from Skopje and Alexander the Great Airport to the location of the academy will also be provided. All other transportation and visa costs will have to be covered by the participants themselves.
