Institute for Photonic Sciences Fellowships for Postdoctoral Researchers

Deadline: 30 June, 2015 / 30 September, 2015
Open to: international postdoctoral researchers
Fellowship: EUR 40,000 (USD 55,000) for research program

The Institute of Photonic Sciences (ICFO) was conceived as a place where highly motivated and dedicated researchers would have the resources, both in terms of advanced equipment and human capital, to engage in research at the very highest international level. At the core of ICFO life is the drive for deeper scientific understanding which can only be gained by dedication, hard work, asking questions and experimenting with new concepts and ideas. ICFO’s scientific impact factor is high and the ambition to publish original findings is strong. Fellowships are awarded for research projects at the forefront of science and technology. Research lines at ICFO include but are not limited to: biomedical optics and biophotonics, nanoscopy and super-resolution imaging, nanotechnology and nanophotonics, nonlinear optics and atom optics, quantum optics and quantum information, atto-science and ultra fast physics, optical sensing and optoelectronics, green technologies and photovoltaics, graphene physics and nanomaterials, single-molecule physics, ultra cold quantum matter physics and advanced laser technology.
