Description

Working Weekends on Organic Farms (WWOOF) has been established in England, in Autumn 1971, when Sue Coppard, a secretary living and working in London, recognized the need for people like herself, who did not have the means or the opportunity, to access the countryside and support the organic movement. WWOOF hosts offer food, accommodation and opportunities to learn about organic lifestyles. WWOOF organisations link people who want to volunteer on organic farms or smallholdings with people who are looking for volunteer help.
