Open to: BA, MA and Postgraduate students as well as all recent graduates within the fields of humanities and social sciences
Venue: 4 – 7 November 2015 Rijeka, Croatia

Description

The Rijeka Interdisciplinary Conference is oriented towards addressing and re-examining, in the broadest sense, the concept of “Knowledge society”. The educational system, as the most obvious element and tool for achieving this ideal, has come in for criticism for issues such as impractical primary education and failures in fostering responsible citizens.

The 3rd Student Interdisciplinary Conference of Humanities and Social Sciences will take place from 4 – 7 November 2015 at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Rijeka, Croatia.

Forms of participation at this year’s conference are: active participation by giving an oral presentation, a poster presentation, organizing a workshop and participation without a paper, in which case it is expected that students take part in the workshops, discussions and debates (passive participants).

An important part of the program are carefully chosen topics of invited lectures and the participation of experts from a number of fields in the discussions – in previous years there were 6 invited lectures and three discussions with young scientists, entrepreneurs, activists and representatives of various professions as guests. The content focuses on current issues concerning the conference topic and is aimed at the participants as well as all students and the general public.
