Description
Complex Fluids Laboratory at Koreatech focuses on the research of multi-physics conjugated fluid phenomena, colloid and aerosol manipulations and bio-analytical processing on microfluidic platforms. Research applications include flow and heat transfer analysis for automotive parts and electronic devices, separation and filtration of micro/nano particles, and development of miniaturized biomedical diagnostic devices. Research assistant positions for graduate students (MS and PhD) are available in following areas:
- Microfluidic researches: development of microfluidic diagnostic devices;
- Thermal and fluid researches: fluid dynamics and heat transfer analysis and design.
Eligibility
- Major in Mech. Eng./Che. Eng or other related fields;
- Good communication and writing skills in English – official test score (ex. TOEFL) may be required for international graduate admission;
- Must be enrolled in a graduate degree program of Koreatech before appointment – please refer to the admission office page for graduate program schedule & required documents;
- Experiences in microfluidics, biomedical engineering, chemical/material engineering fields will be plus.
Remuneration
Funding will cover tuition and monthly salary, but will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. The preferred start date is spring, 2016, but the positions will remain open until filled.
