Description

The Rotman Institute of Philosophy is inviting applications for the postdoctoral fellowship for all qualified candidates however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.

The Rotman Institute of Philosophy is situated in one of Canada’s leading departments of philosophy. It brings together philosophers and scientists to work on problems of social significance.

The Rotman Institute of Philosophy, founded in 2008, is a global leader in interdisciplinary research and training that responds to these challenges. Inspired by Joseph Rotman’s recognition of the distinctive capacity of philosophy to clarify thinking about complex questions and to bridge intellectual divides, the Institute brings the benefits of philosophical thinking to the scientific community and the broader public.

Eligibility

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadian citizens and permanent residents will be given priority.

Candidates must have had a Ph.D. in Philosophy conferred within five years of the start of the Fellowship. All Ph.D. requirements must be completed by the starting date of this Postdoctoral Fellowship, July 1, 2018.

Fellowship

The stipend is USD 40,500. Additionally, the Fellow will be provided with a research allowance.
