Bulgarian Euro-Atlantic Youth Club has the pleasure of inviting participants to the Fifth NATO Summer School – a one-week international seminar focusing on current “NATO: Strengthening Transatlantic Dialog and Cooperation in 2018”. The seminar will be held during the period from June 3th to June 9th, 2018 in Smolyan, Bulgaria. The event is supported by NATO and European Commission Representation in Sofia.

This year’s seminar will be focused on numerous and diverse topics such as the #WEARENATO campaign, the reconfirmation of the U.S. engagement in the collective defense, current international crisis, the cooperation between NATO and the EU, the cybersecurity and the fake news.  This wide variety of crucial topics will create a forum where young people with different nationalities and backgrounds will have the opportunity to meet with representatives of NGOs, media, representatives of governments, panel discussions, workshops and debates, presented by experts, professors and competitive speakers and last but not least, to discuss and exchange ideas about NATO’s current and future role in the ongoing international threats and challenges. Besides attending a number of intriguing lectures, participants are welcomed to take part in fun social activities.

Eligibility

The Bulgarian Euro-Atlantic Youth Club would like to extend an invitation to attend the NATO Summer School 2018 to all young students and professionals, aged between 20-30 years, who have a passion for security and defense.

Costs

  • For the selected international participants there will be no extra participation fee;
  • Accommodation, food, and transport from Sofia to Smolyan for the participants will be covered by the organizers.
