Description

European Solidarity Corps are supporting and hosting organisation for the voluntary service „European Solidarity Corps“ (ESC). They have different hosting organisations in Leipzig and offer voluntary places every year.

Host organisations in Leipzig:

ESC – Montessori Kindergarten (two places)

  • project dates: September 2019 – August 2020 (12 months).
  • project topics: Kindergarden, pedagogy and didactics, afternoon activities with kids eating, singing, dancing, music, games, creative activities…
  • volunteer profile: interest in working with children/ some practical experience in the work with children is welcome, interest to see and live the Montessori-concept, basic German knowledge, open-minded and communicativ
  • only candidates from countries who do not need Visa

ESC – After school care/nursery at Nachbarschaftsschule (one place)

  • project dates: September 2019 – August 2020 (12 months).
  • project topics: pedagogy and didactics, afternoon activities with kids (age: 6 to 12 years, eating, singing, dancing, music, games…), creative activities, after school, homework
  • volunteer profile: interest in working with children/ some practical experience in the work with children is welcome, be openminded and interested in free/progessive/reform pedagogy. A basic knowledge of German is essential. A plus is if the volunteers speak French native because of the bilingual profile.

Eligibility

If you are interested in taking part in ESC, you should be between 18 and 30, live in an European or partner country and be willing to commit your time, energy and enthusiasm to volunteer for a longer period of time.

Benefits

Volunteers live in shared flats. Everybody has an own room and share bathroom and kitchen. The flats are full equipped and have internet connection.

During the voluntary service, volunteers get budget for food, transportation and pocket money. It is financed by the EU programme European Solidarity Corps.
