Awards: cash prizes for the grand and jury winners
The International Filter Photo Contest 2019 is back with its 9th edition. Organised by Kenko Tokina Co. Ltd., the contest provides a platform to those photographers who creatively employ filters to enhance their vision and showcase the multiple possibilities it provides. The jury comprises of four members—Koji Itami, Stan Moniz, Vieri Bottazzini, and Zhang Yongfu.
This contest is sponsored by Kenko Tokina Co., Ltd. and is open to photos that have been taken with the aid of a filter with the aim of expanding creative possibilities.
All types and manufacturers of filters are acceptable. However, filters such as protectors whose effects cannot be seen on photographs are not permitted.
Photos that have been heavily edited using retouching software (color swap, etc.) cannot be accepted.
The competition is open to anyone regardless of age, gender or nationality.
- The winner of the grand prize will receive a cash prize of 500,000 Yen (around 4600 USD).
- Four photographers who will be awarded jury special prizes will also get a cash prize of 100,000 Yen (around 920 USD).
- Thirty entries will be bestowed with Tokina products worth 10,000 Yen (around 90 USD).
