World Food Day Poster Contest

Deadline: 6 November  2020
Open to: Children and teens ages 5 to 19 are invited to join in on the fun
Benefits: Winners will receive a certificate for participation and a special gift bag and they will be promoted in the FAO offices around the world

DESCRIPTION

The Food  and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations is inviting kids and teens from around the world to  come and participate in this years poster contests for the World Food Day celebration. For the contest, participants must draw their favourite food hero. The world is full of food heroes – from farmers to drivers, shop assistants, food bank or government representatives etc., who despite various challenges, such as the current COVID-19 pandemic, work hard to make sure that food makes its way from farms to our table.  the participants can use the Unated Nation’s World Food Day Book for any needed inspiration.

ELIGIBILITY

Participants must be between the ages of 5 and 19, Minors must have permission from their legal guardians. All artwork must be original and should not include photographic images of the Contestant or other personal information.

BENEFITS

15 posters in each category (60 posters) will be selected for the shortlist by the screening committee in December 2020. Shortlisted candidates will receive a certificate for this achievement. All winners will receive a special gift bag and a Certificate of Recognition from the United Nations. All winners will have their posters promoted by the on FAO social media and by FAO offices around the world.
