Find a Program Tailored to Your Ambition
At CEU, we have reinvented the classic combination of Philosophy, Politics and Economics, to offer our students an education that is both focused and multi-faceted. Our complex global society needs critical thinkers who can draw on key disciplines, develop the new lens on the key issues of our time, ask provocative questions and propose innovative solutions.
With the needs of modern society in mind, we developed an interdisciplinary program that gives students the ability to separate facts from fabrication, decipher classical texts and statistical data, understand social media algorithms, produce knowledge and convey it effectively using various media outlets.
How do rumors and hashtags like #metoo spread? How does the network structure reflect the socioeconomic profile of a population? How can we identify key functional regions of our brain by looking at its wiring? How does human cooperation arise in networked societies? And how does cultural evolution unfold in multi-level, hunter-gatherer societies?
* This program was formerly called Quantitative Social Sciences. The name change has been approved by the US accreditation authorities and is awaiting approval from AQ Austria.
