Open to: international undergraduate, graduate students and recent graduates
Remuneration: $2,000 – $2,500/month, domestic travel costs

Description

Contribute to research or programs with Canada’s pre-eminent think tank. Internships are a unique opportunity for university students to contribute to the work of the Fraser Institute.  Student interns work for set terms, usually 4-months, under the direct supervision of a policy or program staff person in one of Fraser Institute’s four national offices.

Currently, the Fraser Institute has two internship opportunities to announce. Both of them will take place between May 5 – August 29, 2014 in Vancouver, Canada.

1. Research internship

The Centre for Risk and Regulation is undertaking a research study focusing on the relationship between residential land-use regulations and housing affordability in Canada. Working closely with the Centre’s Associate Director, the intern will contribute to reviewing the existing literature, conducting data analysis and writing the report.

2. Program internship

Reporting to the Director of Education Programs, the intern’s main role will be updating the department’s national database of students, teachers, professors, clubs and speakers. This position will also involve updating our teacher and student resource pages on the website in addition to preparing event materials, helping onsite at events, and general administrative assistance.

  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal;
