Deadline: 1 March 2016 Open to: descendants of forced laborers (regardless of their country of origin) or people coming from countries that have suffered exceptionally from the Nazi regime, especially from the recruitment of forced laborers Scholarships: EUR 940 per month, accommodation, travel costs


Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) and the EU are inviting all international undergraduate, graduate and PhD students to apply for studying scholarships in Austria. The area in which the scholarships are awarded are the following:

Natural Sciences; Technical Sciences; Human Medicine, Health Sciences; Agricultural Sciences; Social Sciences; Humanities; Arts.

Ernst Mach Scholarships for Study in Austria

Deadline: 1 March 2013 Open to: bachelor’s (after 4th semester) and master’s candidates from eligible countries AND postgraduates and PhD students from ALL countries except Austria Scholarship: €940 per month for BA/MA; €1,040 for graduates over 30 years old with a PhD; travel subsidies for non-European recipients


The Ernst Mach Grants are named after the famous Austrian physicist and philosopher Ernst Mach (1838-1916). It consists of two sub-programmes, the Ernst Mach Grant worldwide and the Ernst Mach Grant for studying at an Austrian University of Applied Sciences (“Fachhochschule”).
