Value the Difference: Mediation is a training course organised by SALTO Cultural Diversity RC and Hungarian National Agency. The aim of the training course is to reflect, explore and learn more about the field of Cultural Diversity in European youth work, with a focus on youth work as mediation between communities.

Eligibility
* Youth leaders;
* Youth workers;
* national agencies staff as participants;
* from all in YOUTH IN ACTION programme countries and SOUTH-EAST EUROPE.

Objectives
* To reflect critically about personal and cultural identity;
* To gain a greater understanding of cultural diversity in different local and national realities;
* To learn from cross community youth work, and raise awareness how that can lead to a more integrated society;
* To better understand concepts which relate to the themes/topics of Cultural Diversity, such as stereotyping, prejudice, manipulation and limits of culture, structures and processes of immigration etc.;
* To get inspired to carry out future international youth projects through YiA programme and other resource possibilities.

Cost
* The National Agency will cover the travel costs of their participants.
* SALTO Cultural Diversity will cover the travel of participants from South East Europe.
* The hosting Agency will be paying your accommodation and subsistence costs during the course.

Application process
To apply the applicants need to create an online account and register directly through the SALTO-YOUTH online system.

  1. Dear Sir or Madam,

    I would like to ask you if this training is a part of Youth in Action, or it is just open for people involved in Youth in Action. My point is that I am participating now in action 2, and if the training is organized from Youth in Action program I can't participate.
