Call for engagement of experts

As part of the project “Effective Participation of Ethnic Communities Vulnerable to Racial Discrimination (ECVRD) in Public Life of Western Balkans”, the Union of Balkan Egyptians is announcing a call for applications for two (2) regional experts and ten (10) local experts. The regional experts will be engaged in a period of three months. One of the experts will examine the electoral behavior of ECVRD, while the other expert will be working on the relevant legislature in the target countries, including (institutionalized) practices in the area to examine the possible structural obstacles or practices which prevent ECVRD from effective participation in elections. This project is financed and supported by the European Commission.

Eligibility

The call for applications for the regional experts applies to experts coming from Western Balkans, member states of the European Union and others.
The local experts will also be engaged for a three month period. They will conduct a research and legal analysis on electoral and other relevant legislature in the target countries, including (institutionalized) practices in the area to examine the possible structural obstacles or practices which prevent ECVRD from effective participation in elections.

Local experts from the Western Balkan (Albania, Kosovo under UNSCR 1244, Montenegro, Macedonia and Serbia) can apply and from each country 2 experts will be chosen.

Selection criteria of the experts:

  • Bachelor degree, preferably master degree in political science, social science, law and humanities sciences
  • Communication skills.
  • Compulsory language skills: English and 1 or more Balkan languages
