Karazin Kharkiv National University

Kharkiv National University in the city of Kharkiv was founded in 1804 through the efforts of Vasyl Karazin (after whom the university is now named) becoming the second oldest university in Ukraine after the University of Lviv. Kharkiv University has trained and employed three Nobel Prize laureates: the biologist I. Mechnikov, the economist S. Kuznets, and the physicist L. Landau. Currently, it has 21 faculties and institutes and amounts to about 12,000 undergraduate and graduate students and about 400 postgraduate students as well as 1300 international students from 50 countries.

Center of International Students Training

The Center prepares students for further study at Kharkiv University or any other university in Ukraine or the CIS. Training at the Center is conducted in Ukrainian or Russian depending on the student’s choice.
