Balkan meets East, Romania

Venue: Predeal, Romania, 16-22 December 2010
Fee: all costs related to accommodation and food are covered; participation fee: 25 EUR EU-countries and 10 EUR non-EU countries

The International Sport and Culture Association ISCA, in cooperation with Liga pentru Educatie, Cultura si Sport LECS and Asociation for Dialogue, Culture and Sport ADCS, has the pleasure to invite you to the training Balkan meets East – Similar Challenges in Youth and Sport.

The aim of the training is to create a space for developing competences for youth workers regarding regional cooperation in the Balkans and East-Europe.It will provide participants with an array of leadership skills and methods, fostering youth participation on a local and regional level: generating project ideas; planning and management of projects; financing and fundraising opportunities; networking capacities; intercultural dialogue.

The main themes of the training ‘Balkan meets East’ are:
–  Leadership
–  Youth participation
–  Intercultural dialogue

Objectives

* develop tools, which can increase the participation of young people in their communities
* deepen understanding of participants of the challenges of sport for all education in the region and at the European level
* share good practice on using sport in different contexts
* facilitate networking between participants and between their organisations for future cooperation on sport for all and cultural activities

Eligibility

The training is targeting:
–     Active volunteers
–     Youth leaders
–     Youth workers
Aged between 18 and 30 years old.
The eligible countries for this training are: Romania, Bulgaria, Moldova, Russian Federation, Serbia, TFYROM Macedonia, Slovenia, Greece, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Albania, Croatia, Ukraine, Belarus, Kosovo under the UN auspices and Denmark.

Fee

SCA and LECS will support all costs related to accommodation and food. Participants will receive a travel reimbursement of 70% of the total costs, up to 300 Euro. A participation fee of 25 Euro will be paid during the training by the EU Member Countries and 10 Euro fee by the non-EU Countries.

Application

You must fill in the on-line application form until the 21st of November 2010.

The results of the selection process will be sent to all applicants on the 24th of November.
