  1. Hello, i will be exact 23 years old on 9th March 2011. , so I would like to ask, am I too old to apply for this scholarship. So, I will be 23 till 9th March of 2012.

    Thank you!

    1. Hello Guri,

I would say yes, as Georgia and other South-Caucasian countries are normally considered as Eastern Europe.
And also, let's wait for the Mondi's reply, I am sure it will come.

      All the best,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

    1. Hi Izzybaba,

I am sorry, but that I don't know. The decision making is a complex process and not only the copy of your transcripts will be taken into account. Most of the times, granting scholarships is competitive, so it is quite possible that the Mondi group will compare your results with the other applicants.

But if you are still not satisfied with my answer, please write directly to the Mondi group: http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab

      Wishing you good luck,

      Kristina,

      Mladiinfo

  2. I graduate with first degree in Electrical engineering,Ethiopia.

My question is i was born in July 25/1988 so i will be exactly 23 years old in July 25/2011. Am i eligible for this scholarship?

My second question is can i apply directly to this scholarship program with out contacting(getting admission) the Austrian universities. If no, please give me the webs of the Austrian universities where i can get masters admission in the field of Engineering.

If you need any further information don't hesitate to contact me at –

    goita345@gmail.com

I appreciate your cooperation and I anxiously await your replay.

    Thank you

    Mattewos Berhane

    1. Hello Mattewos,

      So here are your answers:

      1. it is fine, because you will be not older than 23 years upon the deadline.

      2. One of the required documents you have to submit is the Application letter. I am not very sure if they actually don't mean the "admission letter", which would mean, you would already have to be admitted to a university.

Therefore, I would encourage you to write with your enquiry to Mondi themselves: http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab

You may find the list of Austrian universities for example here: http://www.mladiinfo.com/category/unis/austria/

      or http://lmgtfy.com/?q=austrian+universities+master

And if YOU need any information, don't hesitate to leave a comment here,I will be glad to reply.

      Good luck,

      Kristina,

  3. Hello ms Kristina (I guess 😀 )

I'm a 4th Grade High School student from Macedonia and this is my last year studying on the profile: Electro-technician for Computer Technics and Automatics.
I have a few doubts about the application process so would you please get me informed so I could apply for the scholarship.
    1. "Application letter"
    – is this the same thing as the Application form for which a link is given in the text? If so do i send it online cause I don't see a way I can download it. If it is not the same thing, what's an application letter?
    2. "Copies of transcripts."
    – What is this in Macedonian (considering you are Macedonian, you might know it). 🙂
    3. "Precise description of the objective of your studies (including curriculum, timeline and a description of the envisaged degree)."
Is this about what I am studying right now? the subjects I'm studying? the timeline? a description of the envisaged degree??
4." The application documents have to be sent in English or German"
Do these has to be sent by post on this address:
    Mondi Austria Private Foundation
    Gertraud Max
    Kelsenstrasse 7
    AT – 1032 , Vienna ??

Sorry for bothering and thanks you!

    best regards,
    S.A.

      1. Hi, S.A.,

As mentioned earlier in the comments, I am really not sure if the South-Eastern Europe region may apply.
Plus, you should be able to provide "proof of being eligible for admission to an Austrian university or a university in their respective country of residence", which is your matura certificate, and are you sure you will have it by the deadline?

        2. “Copies of transcripts.” – tvojite ocenki od shkolo, overenje so ocenkite.

        3. 3. “Precise description of the objective of your studies (including curriculum, timeline and a description of the envisaged degree).”
Objective means your future plan of study, what courses you are planning to take, how much time it will take to obtain your degree and so on.

4.” The application documents have to be sent in English or German”
Do these has to be sent by post on this address:
        Mondi Austria Private Foundation
        Gertraud Max
        Kelsenstrasse 7
        AT – 1032 , Vienna ??

        Yes

So please, try to write them first with your questions regarding the South-Eastern Europe region eligibility and if 4th graders can apply not having matura yet.

        Good luck,

        Kristina,
        Mladiinfo

  4. Hi. I would like to know how we should apply for a Mondi scholarship. 1.I mean do we have to have an offer letter from an Austrian university before applying for the scholarship?

2.And what is "Application letter"? I couldn't understand this one. 3.And one more thing, where are all these documents supposed to be sent?

    Thank you.

    1. Hi Nina,

To your first question, well I am not sure what they mean, but as you can read on the post you have to furnish proof of being eligible for admission to an Austrian university or a university in their respective country of residence (proof of eligibility for university admission in the country where the school-leaving certificate was issued). So my guess is that you don't have to have the offer letter. But if I was you, I would write them directly! http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab

Secondly, application letter is a letter of introduction attached to, or accompanying another document such as CV.

And last, the documents have to be sent by post to:
      Mondi Austria Private Foundation
      Gertraud Max
      Kelsenstrasse 7
      AT – 1032 , Vienna

      Best regards,

      Sofia,

  5. Hi,

I am interested in this scholarship and I would like to know what documents will be sent by online and what documents will be sent by post?
I am wondering if you allow me send all documents by online because all documents will be attached into one file only and it will take a long time when I send all document to you by post.

    Thank you a lot.

    1. Dear, Vy,

      RTFM: read the manual:
      * Application letter
      * Resume (including passport photo)
      * Copies of transcripts
      * Personal letter of motivation (Why you think you are the right candidate for the “Austrian Student Scholarship?”)
      * Precise description of the objective of your studies (including curriculum, timeline and a description of the envisaged degree)
      * Two letters of recommendation from professors/teachers or employers
      * The application documents have to be sent in English or German

      Best,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  6. Hi,

I would like to know why when I submit the application form by online I see 2 files will be attached ?
I am wondering what two files, could you tell me?

    Thank you so much!

  7. Hi,

I would like to ask what exactly means in the Eligibility section that student
"can furnish proof of being eligible for admission to an Austrian university or a university in their respective country of residence (proof of eligibility for university admission in the country where the school-leaving certificate was issued)".
I do not really know whether I do understand it correctly or do not, but does it mean that I need to get proof at my home univeristy that I am eligible to access for university admission in Austria?
    Thanks for your response,
    Sophia

    1. Hi Sophia,

usually, to be eligible for studying at university, you must have finished high school. So, I would say it is a school-leaving certificate, but I only assume: I know nothing more than it is written.

I hope I helped you at least somehow.

      Wishing you good luck,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  8. Well,i understand that a student not more 23 years can apply, why u require this as i have done bs hons in petroleum geology in five years and i am 25 years so i am faill to apply but i am wondering that something happens and me become apllicable.have some possibilty of such thing

    1. Dear Mian,

Please note that Mladiinfo does not give scholarships or any financial support, but only informs about different opportunities. Click on the direct link to the official page above to apply for the program.

Besides, those are the rules of Mondi, I don't think you can change it.

      Good luck with other scholarships,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  9. Hi.I would like to know whether "Financial support for the tuition fees, living expenses and books of up to € 12.000,- for an academic year (further scholarships will be deducted from this amount)" means that those who are awarded are going to get this sum per an academic year to pay for their tuition fees, living expenses and other financial needs as well. Does it mean that full tuition fees are not covered and you have to share this sum among the above stated expenses and fees?

  10. Hi,
I would really appreciate if you would answer me what exactly do they mean by: "Precise description of the objective of your studies (including curriculum, timeline and a description of the envisaged degree)"

I would like to study in the economic sciences but I don't know where I have to find all this information like curriculum and timeline of my studies.Do the Austrian University website provide them for me?

    Thank You very much

    1. Dear Eve,

well, in my opinion, it should have a form of an outline according to the courses you plan to take – they should be on the university's/department's webpage of your choice.
E.g. you are planning to pursue a Bachelor's degree, then you should write up the time scope: 3 years, during 1st year I am planning to take these and these courses (have a look at the respective website), during 2nd year these and those.. etc.

I would do it like this.

      Good luck,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  11. Hi!
I have asked my queries twice but there is an automatic system of replying at mondi group. They don't read mails and always reply with a pre-set pattern. What do I do?

  12. Hello,
    Thnx for your answer.
I would have another one if that wouldn’t bother you. What if you would like to pursue a course in german language the first year ( because me German is not that advanced to get into college) do you think they would pay for that too ( bc in the website they say: for students who know german or who are willing to take a course) ??? And since they give you founds up to 4 years in means they will reduce one year since you got into the language course for one year? Do you know how it works.

    Thnx again
    All the best,
    Eve

    1. Hi, Eve,

I have absolutely no idea how it works, I can only rely on the information provided. I guess they would only help to find you some language courses (as they don't mention a financial support in connection with visa, insurance, language courses…) Btw, where is stated this: "in the website they say: for students who know german or who are willing to take a course"? I couldn't find it anywhere.

And I have no clue if they deduct the course period from the overall study period. But, you could also try to look for some English-conducted programs.

I didn't help a lot, I know, but I honestly do not know.

      Wish you luck,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  13. Hello again,
    http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab

Here they say that they offer you help in finding the language courses so practically it means you can spend one year studying german and you can use the money for living expenses + course ( I THINK, I don't know anything for sure )

And here is where I read the statement "Basic knowledge of the German language (or willing to attend German courses)." Check it out
    http://www.scholarshipportal.eu/students/browse/s

    All the best,
    Eve

    1. Dear Eve,

Sorry, but this: "Advice and support for the scholarship holders in connection with visa, insurance, language courses and search for accommodation" does NOT imply what you said: "means you can spend one year studying german and you can use the money for living expenses + course"

And on their website they say that "basic knowledge of the German language or willingness to attend German courses in Austria (proof of basic knowledge after two semesters)" is one of the selection criteria, nothing about financing the courses.

So, I still arrived at the conclusion that I am not sure if they cover the costs of German courses.

      All the best,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  14. Hi,

This is Soumitra from India. I am very happy that I can apply for that scholarship. But I have some questions.

    1. I am doing here PhD in International Business, can I apply for the Phd degree in your university?

    2. If I apply the scholarship will be the same for undergraduate and phd scholar?

    3. Is that possible to run single person in Austria with that scholarship?

    4. I have to first apply to university and then apply for scholarships?

    Please reply

    1. Dear Soumitra,

first of all, Mladiinfo is NOT Mondi. Second of all, this scholarship is dedicated to undegraduates or postgraduates (Masters) not PhD students.

Next time, please read more carefully.

      All the best,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  15. Hi there,

My concern is, will the successful candidates/applicants have the opportunity to tell Mondi that he/she wants to enrol in a particular university in Austria?

Secondly, will "Mondi Austria Private Foundation" nominates a university for every candidates/applicants who are successful?

Thidly, is it necessary to send paper application (Hard copy) by the postal address that is given, or applicants have to apply online and than send the paper application as well, what are they actually asking for?

Fourth, Can the online application form be use to notify Mondi about your paper application when you have send it?

Fifth, the online Application has a place called "Your Studies" that include "Name of institution, country of institution, city/town of institution, study field, and Academic Year/semester". Are they asking for previous High school-leave details or they are asking for the field that an applicant is insterested in applying for at a recommended Universited in Austria when he/she is successful for the Grant of the scholarship?

Sorry for taking up your time to ask all of these question, it's much better to ask one time and do further reading. that's whay I send it like boom.

    Thanks

    T-phil

    1. Hi,

Indeed those are a lot of questions! Let's do it:
1st and 2nd: I really don't know the answer to these questions. I would say yes, but there is nothing stated anywhere.
3rd: yes. "Complete application documents must be received by the Austria Student Scholarship of the “Mondi Austria Private Foundation” by not later than May 31st." to the address given in our post and with the documents referred.
4th: I don't understand what are you asking.
5th: I would say they are asking for previous High school-leave details,a s it doesn't make much sense that they are asking you in each country you would like to study.

I suggest you to write them directly, they will give you more accurate answers, http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab….

      Best regards,

      Sofia

  16. Dear,

I have a few questions. I finished the high-school last year in Macedonia, and I'm currently having German course in Vienna. I have already been accepted to Vienna University of Technology for Software & Information Engineering bachelor programme. Am I eligible for the scholarship?

    1. Hey, Charlie,

I am sorry, but I don't know what you mean. How can we help you?

Please note that Mladiinfo does not give scholarships or any financial support, but only informs about different opportunities. Click on the direct link to the official page above to apply for the program.

      Best,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

    1. Dear Sahar,

this scholarship is designed for pursuing your studies in the area of technology, natural science and economic science in Austria, not strictly for studying German language.

      Best,

      Kristina,

        1. Dear Roman

The deadline of the scholarship is end of may, according our experience before, the results usually are available one or more months after the deadline. please take into consideration that for the results you need to be informed directly from the institution where you sent your application not from us because we just published this information. Best,Mladiinfo

  17. Sorry but there is misunderstaning.i only send the online application & i recive message that says thank u & we consider ur appliction somthing like that.my question is what is next that can i do?

I am a student coming from Bosnia and Herzegovina, studying English language and Lit. I am interested in whether I am eligible for the scholarship.I wrote to them, but I received no reply.
    Thanks,
    Asja

    1. Dear Asja

Mladiinfo is only informing about the education possibilities, we do not have any contacts with the institutions, sometimes from our own experience we know that they have many enquires and they need some time to respond to all, also please write them again!

  19. I so much like this schorlarship, but i fear about the course i wish to study, they are, my first choice Law and Diplomacy, second Diplomacy and third psychology. If one course is possible. I need the correct online application without delay

    thanks

  20. Hi,
My name is Ivana and I'm from Serbia.
I would like to ask you a question because I have asked Mondi but I didn't get any response.
I'm finishing my high school by the end of May but I won't have my high school degree neither will I have my grades for this school year until the middle of June(I mean I'll know them, but I won't have any kind of document a proof), but they say you have to send them.I only have the grades from last year and I think that I ought to send them. So anyways, do you think that I will be able to be one of the candidates for this scholarship?
    Thanks in advance 🙂

    1. Dear Ivana,

I am afraid that this is a delicate question that can only be answered by the Mondi Foundation. I would advise you to be more persistent and send your questions to the Foundation until you get your reply.

      Regards,
      Dijana

  21. Hello.

I am Taulant, and I am in the First Year, of Computer Science.

I want to apply for this scholarships and I have almost completed the needed documents. But I have some questions, and I hope maybe you can help me.

Can you explain me please this:

Precise description of the objective of your studies (including curriculum, timeline and a description of the envisaged degree)

Please, if you can explain it to me in details. Cause I really can't understand what should I write here. What should I write for "INCLUDIN CURRICUL" and "TIMELINE" and "A DESCRIPTION OF THE ENVISAGED DEGREEE".

I asked my English teacher, even he couldn't, explain it very well to me. Please help me, I don't know what to write there. I asked the Mondi Scholarship guy, but he only responses me with very very very short answers.

Please help me guys….. I really need help.

    1. Hi, Taulant,

so what I understand from it is:
including curriculum – so what courses you are planning to take in what period – so, say, First semester – 6 courses (specify them according to your chosen university), Second semester – 6 courses – from, say 1st of September 2011 to 31 July 2012. Third semester … and so on. And say: "I am planning to finish my BSc by the 31st July 2013-14.

This is what my common sense is telling me.

      Good luck with it,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

      1. Hi, Kristina

Thank you very much for your response. But I have only two questions, if you can please help me with them.

I am now in the First Year of computer science, as i mentioned above. And my question is, "IF" I win this Scholarship, Must I start from the first year? Or the second year? Do you have any information about that?

My second question: You told me to write about the curriculum and the Timeline, and I wanted to ask you, what does that ENVISAGED DEGREE mean? Do those two things (Timeline and Curriculum) go into the ENVISAGED DEGREE? Or should I write something else about the Envisaged degree?

Again, thank you very much for your response, you helped me a lot.

        1. Hey Taulant,

I've applied for something similar (successfully) and I understand the "envisaged degree" as a short explanation what you want to learn and gain from the degree, what you think it will prepare you for in the future. So basically in this part you explain your planned timeline and curriculum and add briefly why exactly you have chosen this program. I hope this helps.

          Best,
          Elena

        2. Hi, Taulant,

I have no more information about the program that you do. Mladiinfo is not in contact with Mondi.

I'd say that you'd start from the first year, but maybe after discussion with your professors/tutors, they could recognize some of your courses you have taken back in your country.

Just write that your envisaged degree is a Bachelor, which you are probably aspiring to – or is it a Master?
So, you plan to obtain a Bachelor's degree until the 89th July 2013 and as Elena already mentioned – describe what you want to learn and gain from the degree.

          Cheers,

          Kristina,
          Mladiinfo

  22. Hello everyone!

    I have some questions.

I'm interested if the information about tuition fees (where I'd like to apply) should be written in the Study Objectives?

Second, I have read everything above concerning the Study Objectives. I also asked many people and I'm really confused! Some say, that it should only provide the info they are asking, very shortly, like a Form, something like this:

    City:

    University:

Field of study: (including degree, program discription and curriculum)

Period of study: (full-time or part-time and years)

But some say it should be written like a letter, something like:

"I would like to study this and that, because of this and that, in this city, university. I will study this subjects (here goes the program description I guess and the curriculum) and I intend to start my studies in year XXXX and finish in year XXXX."

So which one is the right one? I can't decide…

    1. Dear Anabana,

ad 1: I don't quite understand your first point, as the tuition fees have nothing to do with Study Objectives as such.

I mean you can mention (probably in the motivation letter) that you are applying for the scholarship, as you cannot afford to bear the costs of tuition fees.

ad 2: Well, I also don't know which one is the right form, but why not make a compromise and merge it into one? 😉

So, at the top you could write an outlined one:

      City:
      University:
Field of study: (including degree, program discription and curriculum)
Period of study: (full-time or part-time and years)

and below it you may add a letter-like explanation.

      Good luck,

      Kristina,
      Mladiinfo

  23. Hi I wanted to ask about the attachment dialog boxes given in the online aplication form, what should I attach there ?! and also I want to ask about the:
*Precise description of the objective of your studies (including curriculum, timeline and a description of the envisaged degree), what do you mean about this ?

Thank you for your concirn Dren Mullafetahu , Prizren Kosovo

    1. Hi, Dren,

well, the application is so stupid, I admit, as they don't specify what actually you should upload.
I would assume that probably a resume or an application letter (which is a letter of introduction attached to, or accompanying another document such as CV) or your personal motivation, as those serve as the first contact documents.

Don't forget to send all the other documents by post, there is little time, btw.

There was a lively discussion about the objective of your studies just above, please, refer to it.

      Best,

    1. Hi, ET,

well, my opinion that the documents might be dropped in their mailbox personally by you, why not, it is also one way of "sending", but make sure you also apply online (check above).

and just in any case, bear in mind that "Scholarships will not be awarded to students who are already studying in Austria"

    1. Hi ET,

Please, understand that Mladiinfo is not Mondi and therefore has no more information than is provided by them. There is no information about when they should announce the results, but usually the selection procedure takes from 1-3 months.

Where? Well, it won't be announced anywhere but you – if you gave them your details, so either they will get to you by e-mail or call or whatnot.

      Best,

      Kristina,

  24. Hallo !
    Sorry to disturb you.
I'd like to know if this great opportunity is this years also provided by Mondi ?

If so I have some questions regarding the application procedure:
    – Do I have just to gather the documents required here and post them, and then if i get accepted Mondi will find me the University?? Or do I have to find a University by myself before making this application,..and fullfilling the reqired areas of the online application regarding that University and the study programs ?

Thank you for the time and attention !
    Please reply me asap 🙂

    1. Dear Ridi,

I am not sure if the Mondi Austrian Student Scholarship is also available this year. Their website does not say anything about the year of the deadline, just the date (May 31st). I would suggest you write to them, and ask them all of your questions and concerns, seeing as they are the best suited to answer them correctly.
You can contact them here http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab… , or here http://www.mondigroup.com/desktopdefault.aspx/tab

      Kind regards

  25. I am from India. I have received an acceptance letter from University of Vienna after my successful application for Bsc. Physics course . But I am finding that the cost of living is too high in Vienna. So I will need a scholarship as a financial help. So am I ELIGIBLE for the scholarship ? And can you assist me regarding the same. The website feedback says that its yet to be announced.

    1. Deal Salil,

Please read the eligibility requirements written above, or on the Official website, and if you meet all of them, then you are eligible to apply for a scholarship.

      Kind regards

  26. Hi guys,

Latest news from Mondi is that they also offer scholarship this year (2012) for studying in Austria.

Those mates who got accepted in University of Vienna, can you share your experience? As far as I know, I have to know basic German to study there, yet they say it depends. I am wondering if I can do them both, I mean studying German and going to the Uni at the same time …

This seems tough, yet I need to confirm.

    1. Dear rebyn,

We cannot transfer this message to him/her. Simply write a comment as a reply to his/hers and hopefully he/she is checking the e-mail account on a regular basis.

      Kind regards

  27. Hi guys,

    News I've just received:

    – German proficiency might be a plus applying for this scholarship. Yet, without prior knowledge about German, you can still apply. A bachelor degree in Austria lasts for three years, while support from Mondi is 4 years. This means you can use your first one year in Austria devoted to language learning.

    – Travel expenses can be used for return flight ticket back to your home country.

    – Please contact Mondi by the email they provided since there might be some further notice you need to know.

    – Also, contact your desired university before applying for Mondi scholarship. This is a tip. Mondi will not help you much in finding your desired university. You all have to do this yourself. And be well-prepared since Mondi requires you to plan your future education here.

    – If you don't know German, and the school's website is only in German, try Google Translate. Hehe.

    1. Dear Mario,

It's an individual scholarship for the duration of an entire academic year, which means one person gets 12.000 euros per one year to cover the expenses.

      Kind regards

  28. The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  29. Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

  30. When I initially commented I clicked the “Notify me when new comments are added” checkbox and now each time a comment is added I get three emails
with the same comment. Is there any way you can remove me
    from that service? Cheers!
