Uppsala University

Uppsala University is a research university in Uppsala, Sweden, and is the oldest university in Scandinavia, founded in 1477. Uppsala University in Sweden is ranked among the top 100 universities in the world. Eight scientists at the university have been awarded the Nobel Prize.

At present, the University hosts nine faculties:

Faculty of Arts

Faculty of Medicine and the Faculty of Pharmacy
Faculty of Science and Technology
Faculty of Educational Sciences

The Uppsala University has a unique University library, consisting of 12 subject libraries, holding about 5.25 million volumes of books and periodicals (131,293 shelf meters), 61,959 manuscripts, 7,133 music prints, and 345,734 maps and other graphic documents.

Exchange Students

Uppsala University has a wealth of information for students considering an exchange, or for those who have already been formally nominated by a partner university. If you have applied for and been accepted to an exchange by a partner university, and your university has officially contacted the coordinator at Uppsala regarding your exchange, then you are “nominated”. Scholarships

Uppsala University offers a few scholarships to cover tuition fees to non-EU/EEA students.The Swedish Institute also administers scholarships. A limited number of scholarships for master studies are awarded by the Swedish Institute (SI) and not all of the master programmes participate in SI programme.
