two Visiting Fellowships (up to one year) for Social Scientists

The MZES is an interdisciplinary research institute of the University of Mannheim, dedicated to comparative European social research and the analysis of European integration processes. The CHE Rankings of political science and sociology repeatedly ranked the University of Mannheim at the top.

The Centre seeks to recruit two outstanding social scientists (sociologists or political scientists) with a Ph.D. (or equivalent) for

two Visiting Fellowships
in the following MZES Research Areas:

A) European Societies and their Integration

B) European Political Systems and their Integration

Visiting fellows will find a stimulating and productive research environment at the MZES. They are expected to move research at the MZES visibly ahead in line with the institute’s research programme. The publication of at least one working paper during their stay would be appreciated.

An excellent track record in sociology or political science (i.e. articles in peer-reviewed journals and/or a recent excellent dissertation) is required for this full-time employment for up to one year. The salary is based on German public sector scale TV-L 13-15 (approx. 42,000-64,000 Euro gross annual salary depending on experience and qualification).
