What is it?

Interactive Holiday for Childrenproject was designed for families with fewer opportunities, providing them the opportunity to send their children at a summer camp, as an alternative to going at their grandparents or just staying home, during the summer camp. In this camp the children will have the occasion to meet young people from  different countries with different backgrounds.

At the same time, one of the purposes of this camp is to raise the level of consciousness regarding the historical and cultural characteristics of the city they live in.

When?

Where?

Cluj-Napoca, commonly known as Cluj, is the fourth most populous city in Romania and the seat of Cluj County in the northwestern part of the country.

Who can apply?

Young people.

Role of the volunteers

The volunteers will have to organize recreational and educative activities with the children during 2 weeks, by playing games, teaching them a foreign language,
painting, visits to the museums, exploring the surroundings of Cluj, artistic activities etc.

The group

Composed of 10 volunteers, Romanian and International, coordinated by a camp leader. The language of the workcamp will be English, but sign language is also accepted

Practical information

Fee: 50 euro (cover accommodation and lodging).

Accommodation: The volunteers will be accommodated in a high-school shared dormitory. The breakfasts and dinners will be prepared there and the lunches will be provided at a canteen in the city center. Please bring your local special ingredients for the specific meals cooked by the volunteers, during international dinners.

Travel: Volunteers will be in charge with the travel expenses until the camp.
