Stipend: maintenance grant of €18,500 per annum + fees
Applications are invited for a PhD student to work on a project investigating the distribution of the roots of integer polynomials. This will involve study in the areas of analytic number theory and Diophantine approximation.
The PhD will be funded for 4 years.
Eligibility
* have a first class degree or masters in pure mathematics (preferably with a good background in Number Theory or Analysis)
* reasonable standard of english is also required

Stipend
The PhD is funded by Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) with a maintenance grant of €18,500 per annum + fees. Funding is also available for travel to conferences and other institutions.
